Job summary

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank seeks an ambitious Senior Project Manager to lead Group or Sub-Group financial services projects, especially cards. You will coordinate with stakeholders, source vendors through RFPs, and manage budgets and timelines to deliver high-value outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in financial services, PMP/Agile certification, and deep knowledge of cards, payments, core banking, and enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in a financial services domain with independent project management experience.
• PMP or Scrum/Agile certification is preferred.
• Experience managing finance-related projects, especially cards projects.
• Knowledge of banking products/services and core banking operations.
• Vendor management and strong stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Define assigned activities and milestones for Group or Sub-Group projects and manage delivery teams.
• Monitor progress and take corrective actions to meet budgets and deadlines.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders for sourcing external vendors and issuing RFPs; manage vendor performance.
• Maintain project documentation to meet internal standards and audits.
• Lead project meetings and provide updates, identifying risks and value-adding opportunities.
• Prepare and track project budgets to ensure financial targets.

In this role, your key responsibilities include:

• Manage Group or Sub-Group related projects, defining assigned activities, scoping key milestones and managing the identified project delivery teams to ensure successful implementation
• Monitor project progress, taking corrective action to keep on track to ensure executed in line with the agreed budget and set deadlines are achieved
• Co-ordinate closely with internal stakeholders when sourcing external vendors and issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), identifying any pre-existing suitable internally approved vendors, managing overall vendor effectiveness, timeliness and quality in order to achieve the set budget and programme/project deliverables.
• Manage all project documentation and records in order to meet required internal standards and future internal audit requirement.
• Conduct project meetings, provide key stakeholders with updates, discuss any risks/issues and influence on areas that will add value/further benefit the project to ensure it remains on track and within agreed budget/timelines.
• Prepare the project budgets and track performance against these to ensure budgetary requirements.

The ideal candidate should have the following experience:

• At least 10 years of experience in a financial services domain with experience of independently managing finance related projects (especially cards projects)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum/Agile certification
