Project Manager - HVAC ESCO IREF

What you will do

The Project Manager HVAC ESCO & IREF Systems is a key role directly reporting to the Director of Install Operations or Operations Manager. You will be based in Dubai and will be a part of a growing team, responsible for driving the growth of business for HVAC ESCO & Industrial Refrigeration Systems.

You will manage the project management team on project design and monitor the assigned engineering projects' QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications. You will interact daily with clients to interpret their needs and represent them in the field.

How you will do it

As an experienced Project Manager, you should have expertise in project execution and complex knowledge of HVAC solution design involving Chillers, AHUs, FCUs, and Industrial Refrigeration Energy solutions in the Middle East region. You will need to:

1. Initiate and respond to contractual issues throughout the contract & project phase.
2. Monitor project progress, prepare project progress reports, and represent the company in client project quality and HSE meetings.
3. Communicate formally (letter) and informally (verbal) with clients, and manage invoicing and collection of payments.
4. Prepare technical submittals and submit them to clients; responsible for producing and issuing design drawings/calculations.
5. Prepare and comply with the project quality plan and inspection & test plans, ensuring full compliance with specifications and client requirements.
6. Assume full responsibility for cost management of the projects and prepare monthly cost reports for senior management review.
7. Initiate change processes to manage variations to contracts and follow projects to completion, ensuring final payment.
8. Ensure key milestone dates are met; if delays occur, develop plans to bring the project back on track.
9. Manage all allocated staff and resources to complete the project on time and be responsible for requests for resources within budgeted allowances.
10. Develop and train allocated staff.
11. Be conversant with company and client QHSE policies/procedures and ensure operatives understand and implement them in their areas.
12. Liaise with QA/QC and HSE managers on all aspects of Quality and HSE.
13. Prepare and submit project completion feedback reports to the sales department.
14. Monitor progress of subcontracted works wherever applicable and ensure all applicable QHSE documents are available at the point of use, particularly project-specific QHSE documents at the site.
15. Ensure complete project data/records are archived after project completion and forwarded to the IS department for effective archiving.
16. Ensure nonconformities in materials/products are dealt with according to applicable management system procedures, taking appropriate corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
17. Ensure needed inspections and tests of products are performed, maintaining inspection & test records prior to product handover to customers.

What we look for

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline from a reputable university.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of project engineering experience in HVAC / ESCO / Industrial Refrigeration systems.
• Recent experience working at a leadership level in the GCC region.
• Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
• Solid organizational skills, including attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
• Good interpersonal, negotiation, labor management, and influencing skills.
• Ability to determine cost estimate targets during the design and development process, recommending cost-effective solutions.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality and impactful professional documents for clients and internal use.
• Fluency in the English language is essential, along with excellent email etiquette.
• Strong decision-making skills.
