Job summary

POWERTECH Engines seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end planning, coordination and delivery of the Powertech Campus at Tawazun Industrial Park in the UAE.

Reporting to the Head of Program Management, the role oversees design through to handover, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule and budget while upholding quality, governance, safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in campus, real estate, infrastructure or large-scale development.
• Proven experience managing projects from design through handover.
• Strong contract-management experience and exposure to Legal Counsel.
• Experience engaging government authorities and external stakeholders.
• Excellent stakeholder-management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the integrated project plan with scope, milestones, schedules, deliverables, risks and dependencies.
• Lead campus development from design to construction, commissioning and handover.
• Monitor performance and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with EDGE Facilities Mgmt, Tawazun Park, consultants, contractors and authorities.
• Coordinate permits and regulatory requirements with Abu Dhabi Civil Defence and other authorities.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings; provide progress, risk and decision updates to senior leadership.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing and administering contracts with consultants and vendors.
• Monitor contractual obligations, timelines and commercial risks; escalate issues as needed.
• Collaborate with Legal Counsel on contractual and regulatory matters.
• Manage consultants, contractors and vendors to ensure quality and schedule.
• Support procurement, tendering, budgeting and cost controls.

Reporting to the Head of Program Management, this role will overse\u2001the project from design and approvals through construction, commissioning and final handover. The successful candidate will ensure delivery within approved scope, schedule and budget while maintaining high standards of quality, governance, safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the integrated project plan, including scope, milestones, schedules, deliverables, risks and dependencies.
• Lead all phases of the campus development from design through construction, commissioning and handover.
• Monitor project performance and implement corrective or recovery actions where required.
• Act as the primary coordination point between POWERTECH and key stakeholders, including EDGE General Facilities Management, Tawazun Industrial Park, consultants, contractors, Legal Counsel and relevant government authorities.
• Coordinate permits, approvals and regulatory requirements with Abu Dhabi Civil Defence, Abu Dhabi Municipality and other applicable authorities.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings and provide clear progress, risk and decision updates to senior leadership.
• Support the drafting, review, negotiation and administration of contracts with consultants, vendors, contractors and other parties.
• Monitor contractual obligations, deliverables, timelines and commercial risks, escalating issues where required.
• Coordinate closely with Legal Counsel on contractual, regulatory and compliance matters.
• Manage consultants, contractors and third-party vendors to ensure quality, schedule and contractual performance.
• Support procurement and tendering activities in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts and cost controls.
• Track project expenditure, identify cost risks and recommend optimisation opportunities.
• Maintain project governance documentation including risk registers, decision logs, contracts, schedules and status reports.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, building codes, environmental requirements, company policies and safety standards.
• Maintain strong quality assurance processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience, ideally within campus, real estate, infrastructure, industrial or large-scale development projects.
• Proven experience managing projects from design and permitting through construction and handover.
• Strong contract-management experience and exposure to working with Legal Counsel.
• Demonstrated experience engaging government authorities, regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong understanding of project planning, risk management, budgeting, cost control and governance.
• Knowledge of facilities management, real estate development and local permitting processes is highly advantageous.
• Excellent stakeholder-management, communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
