A leading company in construction seeks a senior Project Manager for EPC projects in Abu Dhabi. This pivotal role involves overseeing project lifecycles, leading teams, ensuring compliance, and managing budgets while driving innovation and safety in project execution.
Key Responsibilities: - Site Based Position
Oversee the full lifecycle of EPC projects from FEED through detailed engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Lead multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and HSE professionals.
Interface with clients, subcontractors, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Ensure compliance with local laws, company standards, and project-specific requirements.
Control project budget, monitor cost forecasts, and implement cost control measures.
Maintain and track project schedules, identifying and mitigating potential delays or risks.
Provide strategic leadership in resolving technical challenges and engineering conflicts.
Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and risk assessments to senior management and clients.
Ensure implementation of quality and HSE management systems across all phases.
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in project execution methodologies.
Technical Expertise Required:
In-depth understanding of EPC project phases and methodologies.
Strong command over engineering disciplines: process, mechanical, piping, civil/structural, instrumentation, and electrical.
Expertise in project planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project), and cost control software (SAP, EcoSys, etc.).
Familiarity with international codes and standards.
Experience in working with advanced procurement systems and material tracking.
Knowledge of construction sequencing, modularization, and commissioning strategies.
Proficiency in project risk assessment and mitigation planning.
Competency in contract management, claims analysis, and change order negotiation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field).
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification (preferred).
Minimum 18–25 years of relevant experience, including at least 10+ years in a project management role on large-scale EPC projects in the Oil & Gas or Energy sector.
Previous experience working with or for Technip Energies is a strong advantage.
