Project Manager – Digital Transformation & AI

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE – Onsite
Salary: Up to AED 10,000/month

Overview

The Project Manager will manage and monitor specific initiatives and projects within a broader digital transformation program. The role is responsible for ensuring projects remain aligned with strategic objectives, timelines, budgets, quality standards, and expected outcomes.

The Project Manager will coordinate core project teams and vendors, provide recommendations to improve initiatives, review project outcomes and deliverables, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure successful execution across business and technology stakeholders. The role will support digital transformation initiatives involving cloud, data, AI, automation, and enterprise platforms within complex government or enterprise environments.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor assigned initiatives and projects within the overall program, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, scope, timelines, budgets, and expected outcomes.
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, schedules, dependencies, deliverables, and governance mechanisms.
• Coordinate cross-functional core teams across business, technology, data, cybersecurity, architecture, procurement, legal, UI/UX, and other relevant functions.
• Review project outcomes, deliverables, and performance against agreed objectives, KPIs, SLAs, timelines, and quality standards.
• Provide recommendations to improve project execution, resolve issues, optimize delivery approaches, and ensure successful achievement of initiative objectives.
• Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change requests, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
• Manage vendors and third-party partners, including deliverables, timelines, dependencies, performance, commercial obligations, and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors to ensure project deliverables are completed according to agreed requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Track project budgets, resource requirements, procurement activities, and contractual obligations in coordination with relevant teams.
• Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committees, status reviews, and stakeholder workshops.
• Prepare regular project status reports, executive updates, dashboards, risk reports, and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Ensure project documentation, decisions, action items, requirements, and deliverables are properly maintained and governed.
• Support the delivery of digital transformation initiatives involving cloud-native platforms, enterprise applications, data platforms, automation, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and other emerging technologies.
• Coordinate AI and automation initiatives from project planning through implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives, governance requirements, and expected benefits.
• Work with technical and business teams to identify dependencies, integration requirements, implementation challenges, and opportunities for optimization.
• Support modernization initiatives, including legacy platform assessment, migration, rationalization, and decommissioning activities.
• Monitor adoption, utilization, performance, and benefits realization of implemented solutions and recommend corrective actions where required.
• Support change management, stakeholder engagement, communications, and organizational readiness activities associated with assigned initiatives.
• Ensure projects comply with applicable government policies, cybersecurity requirements, data governance standards, procurement processes, and organizational controls.
• Drive continuous improvement across project delivery practices, processes, governance, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Build effective working relationships with government stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and external partners.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence, Project Management, or a related discipline. Master’s degree is preferred.
• Relevant project/program management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, or equivalent is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in project management, with proven experience managing complex digital transformation, technology, or enterprise projects.
• Experience managing initiatives within large-scale enterprise or government environments is highly preferred.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams, vendors, stakeholders, project dependencies, risks, and deliverables.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid delivery models, and project governance.
• Experience delivering projects involving AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, cloud platforms, data, automation, enterprise applications, or digital transformation.
• Good understanding of AI concepts including Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG, prompt engineering, AI governance, and automation.
• Strong understanding of project planning, budgeting, risk management, change management, vendor management, and benefits realization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate project outcomes and provide practical recommendations.
• Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
• Fluent Arabic and English communication skills are mandatory, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a client-facing, onsite Abu Dhabi environment and coordinate with senior government and enterprise stakeholders.
• Strong proficiency in project management and reporting tools, with the ability to prepare executive-level project dashboards and status reports.
