Job descriptionSPIE is seeking a highly driven and experienced
Project Manager to oversee a commissioning services contract. The role involves managing four major workstreams: CSU engineering support, manpower sourcing, commissioning equipment supply and logistics, and development of Operating Manuals and Field Operating Procedures.
The Project Manager will serve as the main interface with the client, lead internal coordination, and ensure risk management, quality, budget, and timeline control across all project phases.
Main Responsibilities- Project Leadership
• Oversee daily operations across all project lots, ensuring successful planning and execution.
• Act as the primary contact for the client, representing SPIE's interests and maintaining high client satisfaction.
• Manage internal & external reporting by developing KPIs and ensuring alignment with SPIE standards. - Technical Coordination
• Supervise drafting and validation of CSU documentation.
• Coordinate the delivery of Operating Manuals and Field Operating Procedures.
• Oversee technical validation and mobilization of commissioning equipment. - Manpower Management
• Coordinate sourcing and deployment of commissioning personnel.
• Ensure resources meet technical and safety standards. - Procurement & Logistics
• Manage supply chain for tools, test equipment, and consumables. - Risk & Compliance
• Identify risks early and develop mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with client requirements, HSE standards, and SPIE procedures. - Financial & Contractual Follow-up
• Monitor project financials and margins.
• Support invoicing and procurement follow-up.
ProfileCandidates should hold a Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields, with a minimum of 7 years' project management experience, including at least 5 years in commissioning and/or EPC projects.
Strong background in managing multi-scope service contracts, excellent communication and leadership skills, and experience in risk management are essential.
Experience in UAE or GCC countries is highly desirable.
Job location: Abu Dhabi, UAE, with regular trips to Basra, Iraq.
