Job Overview:
The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and within scope. This role involves overseeing all aspects of project execution, including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring progress. The Project Manager also prepares and presents reports to senior management on the status of the project, summarizing progress and addressing any issues that arise.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee construction projects from conception through completion, ensuring adherence to safety and building regulations.
- Maintain high standards of quality and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
- Deliver project revenues and consistently achieve planned profit margins.
- Monitor project finances and ensure cost control, including managing budgets and expenditures.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and construction teams to ensure performance meets contractual conditions.
- Direct and manage project implementation, including procurement, manufacturing, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and installation.
- Facilitate coordination with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
- Act as the company representative with clients, consultants, and contractors during project execution.
- Negotiate changes to the scope of work with clients and contractors to meet project requirements.
- Oversee the development and implementation of the Project Execution Plan, Health & Safety Plan, Control Plan, and other key documents.
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly status reports to management, outlining project progress and action plans.
- Supervise construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and exceed customer expectations.
- Establish and monitor program requirements for all project areas, ensuring draft and final deliverables adhere to these criteria.
- Assign responsibilities to key team members and monitor their progress on assigned tasks and deliverables.
- Provide input for performance reviews and development plans for subordinates.
- Advise engineering and project management on issues, delays, scope changes, or other factors affecting project completion.
- Collaborate with key project individuals to develop and implement action plans for addressing cost overruns, delays, or scope changes.
- Assist the Division Head in identifying and pursuing business development opportunities.
- Prepare proposals and qualification documents to secure new assignments.
- Review design works and provide technical support to the design team to ensure alignment with client design and scope targets.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance policies and procedures.
- Perform other responsibilities and tasks as required, as appropriate to the position.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in a related field
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil)
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Experience in HV Substation, Villas, High-rise buildings, malls, hospitals, schools etc.
- Extensive experience with Government Authorities. Preferably to be approved previously by them in major projects.
- Fully understanding of Government Authorities requirements and coordination.
