Job Title: Project Manager - Buildings

Job Description

The Project Manager - Buildings is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of capital works building projects, from contract kick-off to project completion.

Operational Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple building-related work packages simultaneously.
  • Review IFC designs from consultants and contractors for scope gaps, technical issues, or opportunities for improvement, including Value Engineering reviews.
  • Review pre-construction documentation such as shop drawings, material/equipment submittals, quality plans, and method statements.
  • Track contractor submissions, technical and procurement documents, and long-lead items.
  • Assist in technical coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and utility providers.
  • Monitor construction progress, schedules, KPIs, and quality control measures.
  • Manage site interfaces, project contracts, and logistics requirements.
  • Review testing, commissioning activities, and liaise with the Commissioning Authority.
  • Support the preparation of close-out strategies and review documentation like record drawings and O&M manuals.
  • Assist the commercial team with valuation of works and change control.
  • Contribute to project reports and provide updates to senior management.
  • Monitor and coordinate work of package contractors on-site.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years industry experience, with at least 8 years in a similar role.
  • Experience in large community development projects.
  • Professional registration (e.g., CIBSE, IMechE, MEIT, PMP) preferred.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English; good communication skills.
  • Proactive in issue identification and resolution.
  • Knowledge of Dubai authorities' processes and approvals.
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contracts.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of building construction, including mid, high-rise, and low-rise developments.
  • Contracting background.
