Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management:
- Lead and manage end-to-end project delivery, ensuring adherence to project scope, timelines, and budgets.
- Define project objectives, key deliverables, success criteria, and risk management plans.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and status reports, ensuring continuous tracking of project progress.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies to proactively address potential project roadblocks.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Foster a collaborative environment to ensure seamless integration of project workstreams.
Client Engagement and Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to understand business needs and tailor project solutions accordingly.
- Manage stakeholder expectations, addressing concerns, and resolving conflicts proactively.
- Conduct post-project evaluations, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop project team members, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
- Allocate resources effectively, balancing workload distribution across teams.
- Provide coaching and support for team members when required.
Operational Excellence:
- Implement and refine project management methodologies, tools, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Identify and drive process improvements to streamline workflows and optimize resource utilization.
- Ensure quality assurance by enforcing project governance standards and maintaining compliance with best practices.
Financial and Resource Management:
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and expenditure control.
- Track project financials, including forecasting, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth through effective project scoping and resource utilization.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Engagement:
- Work closely with TESS internal Business Operations, Customer Excellence, and Service Delivery teams as well as Business Unit teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Contribute to pre-project delivery activities, including solution design, proposal development, and feasibility assessments.
- Represent the project management function in cross-functional meetings, providing insights and recommendations.
Quality Assurance:
- Establish and maintain quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet stakeholder expectations.
- Conduct regular audits, reviews, and performance assessments to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain documentation and reporting structures to track project success and areas for enhancement.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Project Management Expertise: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and best practices.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Leadership and Team Development: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop project teams in dynamic and remote environments.
- Analytical Thinking: Proficient in data analysis, KPI tracking, and decision-making based on project metrics.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
- Adaptability: Ability to navigate complex and changing project landscapes with flexibility and resilience.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8 to 10 years of experience in project management, consulting, or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) or relevant industry certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, or equivalent.
