About the Role:
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of a wide range of projects, from research and budget recommendations to client handover. You will be a key player in ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, within budget, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, oversee, and execute a diverse portfolio of projects, including research, budgeting, planning, logistics, installation oversight, time management, and client handover.
- Coordinate seamlessly with systems designers and various stakeholders.
- Manage local and remote installation teams and contractors, ensuring alignment and progress through daily meetings.
- Create and manage comprehensive project documentation.
- Oversee procurement and strategically allocate resources.
- Liaise with site teams, resolving technical queries promptly.
- Attend regular client meetings and ensure all project milestones are consistently met.
- Prepare and present weekly and monthly reports to senior leadership, with a focus on budget tracking and risk identification.
- Travel nationally and overseas as required to oversee project delivery.
- Stay current with event and entertainment technology advancements and share insights with colleagues.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Manager in Events Technologies, MEP, or IT.
- Proficiency in project management tools, including creating Gantt charts, status updates, and RACI Matrices.
- Strong command of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proven expertise in Budget, Cashflow, and Organizational management.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including designers, CAD/BIM draftsmen, technicians, equipment specialists, and programmers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment with excellent results.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D for creating/updating system schematics and the ability to read and comprehend schematics, floor plans, and schedules.
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and the ability to produce detailed Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and their Google & Apple equivalents.
- An industry-related Degree (BA, BSc, or HND level) or 10 years of industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- APM PMQ or a similar equivalent.
- Expertise in lighting, sound, video, and control systems.
- Experience in developing and implementing process improvements.
- Experience overseeing a range of projects with diverse sizes, technologies, and disciplines.
- 3-5 years managing high-end commercial related industry systems.
- Qualification in Live Events Technologies or Technical Theatre.
