Job description

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to lead the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for the selection of an Application Management Services (AMS) provider for our SAP S/4HANA environment. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end RFP lifecycle—from strategy development to vendor selection and contract award—ensuring alignment with organizational goals, SAP best practices, and post-go-live support requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the full RFP lifecycle for SAP S/4HANA AMS, from initial strategy to final vendor selection and contract execution.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (IT, Procurement, Legal, Business Operations, SAP functional leads) to define the scope, service requirements, SLAs, and KPIs.
• Develop comprehensive RFP documentation, including business and technical requirements, evaluation frameworks, and project timelines.
• Manage vendor engagement activities such as briefings, Q&A sessions, and communication channels to ensure transparency and competitiveness.
• Facilitate vendor evaluations, scoring, and consensus workshops with cross-functional teams.
• Oversee governance reporting, status updates, and documentation throughout the RFP process.
• Ensure adherence to SAP and ITIL best practices and readiness for a seamless AMS transition post-S/4HANA go-live.

Requirements

• Proven track record of managing large-scale RFPs for enterprise IT or AMS engagements, preferably in SAP environments.
• Solid understanding of SAP S/4HANA, especially core modules such as Finance, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing.
• Familiarity with AMS operating models, service towers, SLAs, and ITIL-based frameworks.
• Experience in project management within complex, cross-functional stakeholder environments.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation and executive briefings.
• Demonstrated vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-hosted SAP environments (e.g., RISE with SAP, Azure, AWS).
• Exposure to global system integrators or managed service providers.
