We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in managing projects in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Afghanistan, or other locations for the military Department of Defense (DoD) or US government contractors. The ideal candidate will be a US or British citizen with over 9 years of experience in project management or a similar field.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive project plans ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives, fostering a collaborative environment and ensuring effective communication among team members.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project success.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to ensure project stability and continuity.
Reporting and Compliance: Prepare regular project reports for stakeholders and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
Citizenship: US or British citizen.
Experience: Minimum of 9 years in project management or a related field with experience working in the MENA region, Afghanistan, or other locations for the military DoD or US government contractors.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., project management, business administration, international relations).
Skills:
Strong project management skills including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in multicultural environments and adapt to different cultural norms.
Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or similar.
Language Skills: Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage but not required.
Experience with Government Contracts: Familiarity with USAID or DoD regulations and contracting processes.
Work Environment:
Travel: Willingness to travel frequently to project locations in the MENA region and other specified areas.
Work Schedule: Flexible hours with occasional overtime depending on project demands.
