Project Manager

Title: Project Manager

Purpose: The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of IT infrastructure and ELV system projects. This includes structured cabling, CCTV, access control, AV/VC installations, and related technology deployments. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a proactive approach to managing timelines, budgets, risks, and stakeholder expectations. This role is critical in upholding Unified Microsystems’ commitment to delivering projects on time, first time, every time.

Work Overview

1. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
2. Develop detailed project plans including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
3. Monitor project progress and proactively address potential delays or issues.
4. Lead and coordinate internal teams including Project Engineers, Project Coordinators, and Cabling Teams.
5. Oversee site activities to ensure installation works are executed according to design and specification.
6. Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
7. Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Provide regular progress updates, handle client queries, and manage expectations effectively.
9. Ensure client satisfaction through timely delivery and responsive communication.
10. Track project budgets and ensure adherence to cost estimates.
11. Coordinate with the procurement team for timely sourcing and delivery of materials.
12. Approve and manage change requests, cost variations, and project scope adjustments.
13. Enforce adherence to company standards, industry best practices, and client specifications.
14. Conduct periodic site inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented as needed.
15. Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
16. Maintain comprehensive documentation including site reports, test results, and as-built drawings.
17. Coordinate final inspections, snag list resolutions, and client handover.
18. Ensure proper archiving of project files and documentation for internal records.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Must have strong English communication both written and verbal.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
3. 5+ years of project management experience within IT Infrastructure or ELV domains.
4. PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is preferred.
5. Strong understanding of structured cabling, CCTV, access control, AV/VC solutions, and wireless infrastructure.
6. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills; confident, socially adept, and able to lead multi-disciplinary teams effectively.
7. Highly organized with exceptional time management, multitasking, and planning abilities.
8. Able to perform under pressure, manage multiple projects, and consistently meet deadlines.
9. Self-motivated and proactive with a strong desire to learn quickly and take initiative without constant supervision.
10. Strong problem-solving and risk assessment capabilities.
11. Must hold a valid UAE driving license and be willing to travel to project sites as required.
