Job DescriptionAECOM are seeking a highly skilled Pre-Contract Project Manager with a strong background in Architecture, or MEP / Structural disciplines to oversee the planning and coordination of projects during the pre-construction phase. This role is critical to ensuring project feasibility, cost effectiveness, and readiness for execution.
Responsibilities:- Lead the pre-contract phase of multi-disciplinary construction projects.
- Coordinate design development across Architectural, MEP, and Structural teams.
- Develop and manage project briefs, design programs, and milestone schedules.
- Ensure design output aligns with project scope, budget, and client expectations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders during the pre-contract phase.
- Facilitate design and technical coordination meetings.
- Provide clear communication of project objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Identify design and procurement risks early and propose mitigation strategies.
- Contribute to value engineering exercises to optimize cost without compromising quality or performance.
- Ensure all design and tender documents comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all pre-contract activities, correspondence, and approvals.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Building Services or Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on pre-contract design phase
- Proven track record in managing complex construction or engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
- Excellent skills in contract negotiation, risk assessment, and stakeholder management
