Position:Project Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead civil engineering projects focused on airport runways, infrastructure, and transport systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent project management skills. The incumbent should have vast experience in handling airports, runways, roads and transport and infrastructure projects

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Execution:
  • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle from design to construction and final handover.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including airport authorities, government agencies, and contractors.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project.
  • Budget and Resource Management:
  • Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
  • Quality Control and Compliance:
  • Ensure all construction activities adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and legal requirements.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to mitigate risks and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence.
  • Provide regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 18 years of experience in project management for large-scale civil projects, particularly in airport runways, infrastructure, and transport.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders and contractors.
  • Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in construction management or civil engineering (e.g., Professional Engineer (PE)) are advantageous.
  • Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD software.
  • Leadership and Communication:
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present information and interact with various stakeholders.
