Zayed University is seeking a Project Manager to oversee various educational projects with external clients. The ideal candidate will manage relationships, prepare proposals, and ensure that projects align with financial and timeline expectations. Applicants should hold at least a Bachelor's degree, possess project management certification, and have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience. Fluency in both Arabic and English is considered an advantage.
JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY:
The Project Manager oversees multiple projects with external clients while ensuring leading edge project management procedures and practices are followed. This includes collecting user requirements, hiring faculty for training, conducting budget estimates, preparing client contacts, writing proposals, staffing, scheduling tasks, writing reports, processing requests for invoices and payment requisitions, and managing relationship with clients and different units of the university.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- identifies Client requirements, project cost and revenue estimates to prepare proposals and draft contracts.
- Assists in designing the learning solutions and training programs tailored to the clients’ needs.
- Assists in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensures technical feasibility.
- Prepares Project Plan to include the financial cost (budget allocation), timeline, materials and all project deliverables specified in the contract.
- Monitors project implementation procedures and document the achievements to ensure that projects are completed within the specified budget and timeline.
- Sets project performance objectives , learning outcomes and develops assessment tools
- Collaborates with subject matter experts to maintains updated existing curriculum and course materials.
- Coordinates and communicates with the companies and institutions executing the projects and participates in the project evaluation.
- Serves as a first point of contact with clients and other university units.
- Prepares proposals to meet RFPs/RFQs (Request for Proposals/Quotations)
- Performs any relevant duties as assigned by the Director.

- Is responsible for all aspects of project implementation.
- Responsible for maintaining special status with ILM.
- Uses all management techniques to successfully deliver the project deliverables.
- May have to independently respond to rapidly changing and complex situations governing the project.
- At times must exercise independent judgment and decision-making for the good of the university and the client.

- Must be a team player and leader and lead by example.
- Must be able to persuade senior clients on best courses of action.
- Must be transparent in all activities.
- Must be able to communicate efficiently with different units of the university.
- Creates and builds effective relationship externally and within Zayed University.
- Follows-up professionally while keeping all stakeholders on board with progress.
- Maintains effective working relationships with College Deans and other University administrators in order to foster a collaborative & collegial working environment.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess at minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution, with a minimum of 4 years’ project management and Learning and Development experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other essential requirements:
- A professional certification in Project Management
- Full understanding of ILM structure and qualifications
- Be fluent in Arabic and English (an advantage)
Desired or preferred requirements:
- Have experience in an academic environment.
- Have knowledge of project management software.
- Have experience in customer service.
