Project Manager

Location: Northern Hemisphere

Joseph Gallagher is the leading UK-based Civil Engineering & Tunnelling sub-contractor, growing significantly over the last 40+ years into an international business. We have an award-winning reputation, an industry-leading safety culture, and have been part of some of the most critical infrastructure projects today.

We are looking for the right individual capable of managing an international large diameter segment tunnel contract. Please only apply if you have segmental tunnelling experience.

Key Accountabilities

1. Ensure the site is operated safely and efficiently, reflecting Joseph Gallagher Ltd's high standards.
2. Maximize the commercial performance of the contract.
3. Create procurement schedules and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure adequate resources.
4. Forecast regularly, keep the team updated on changes, and manage scope meticulously, including unplanned work and resource costs.
5. Report risks and opportunities to senior management.
6. Deliver work to the specified quality standards, including the production and implementation of Project Plans, RAMS, ITPs, and waste management plans in line with company procedures.
7. Maintain detailed site records and diaries, control costs, and challenge the status quo.

Job Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

• Experience managing tunnelling projects, particularly TBM work, within high-regulation environments in the UK.
• Proficiency in NEC3 Options contract and change management.
• Experience in Design Management, Programme & Risk Management, CVR production, including cost control, forecasting, and value assessment.
• Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• SMSTS certification.
• Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems effectively.
• Proven ability to manage and deliver successful projects with minimal guidance.
