We are seeking a Project Manager with a passion for creating innovative practical solutions that enhance our community. In this role, you will be responsible for scope development, scope management, and the commercial performance of projects to meet goals and objectives. You will plan and define program goals, develop in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies.
Project Managers should be versatile, enthusiastic, and capable of working in highly flexible, team-oriented environments. Exceptional communication, analytical, and organizational skills are essential.
- KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the Company representative with clients and subcontractors, interfacing with management and client personnel.
- Monitor contractor performance regarding schedule and conformance to plans and specifications.
- Negotiate scope changes with clients and subcontractors.
- Market and secure additional work with clients.
- Follow up on instructions and commitments related to the project.
- Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and public meetings as needed.
- Oversee the establishment of Project Plans, Health and Safety Plans, Quality Assurance/Control Plans, and other documents.
- Establish program requirements and monitor deliverables for adherence.
- Plan, direct, supervise, and control all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project.
- Advise management on field engineering procedures, construction methods, and financial matters.
- Contribute to performance reviews and development plans for personnel.
- Ensure adequate staffing and monitor field engineering activities and support operations.
- Collaborate with managers and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans.
- Ensure project goals are met or exceeded.
- Devise and execute action plans to address cost overruns, delays, or scope changes, and advise clients and management accordingly.
- Maintain current and timely change orders.
- Monitor and report project progress, milestones, and conditions affecting cost or schedule.
- Establish weekly meetings to review status and plan actions.
- Perform additional responsibilities as appropriate.
TECHNICAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Proven leadership capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or related technical/business field.
- At least 10 years of construction experience, with 5 years in project management.
- Broad technical and business background, with experience managing landscape projects.
- Professional registration may be required.
- Ability to manage projects, interface with clients, and be hands-on technically.
- Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling and project monitoring.
- Knowledge of industry standards and project management certification requirements.
- Contract management experience.
