Overview

A Snapshot of Your Day

As Project Management Officer, your role involves coordinating successful project execution within the project management organization. The PMO role is a major contributor to establishing key project management processes and common practices that drive the organization to integrated operation. You will be responsible for reporting on project performance using metrics and data visualization. Main tasks include supporting the development of project management methodologies, securing return of experience, and helping the project management organization meet cost compliance, schedule adherence, and scope control.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to the establishment of key PM processes, common practices, tools, and templates for portfolio and project management, ensuring adherence to Siemens Energy Methodology.
• Develop and apply project management methods to improve team skills and encourage collaboration.
• Report performance and support organizational level decision-making through effective use of metrics and visual data reporting on project performance.
• Analyze and monitor key performance metrics of projects in a coordinated manner and craft project reports regularly.
• Maintain PM IT platforms and contribute to the development of PM interactive platforms and SharePoint sites.
• Develop and maintain project management standards and guidelines.
• Align project portfolios with business objectives.
• Lead and support project management teams.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business management or related project management field, or equivalent experience.
• Technical and financial education as background is required.
• Strong practical knowledge of project execution.
• Rich experience in active project management roles.
• Experience managing international projects and intercultural teams.
• Deep knowledge of high voltage substation business and systems.
• Experience managing complex projects involving internal and external collaborators.
• IPMA- or similar-certified Project Management qualifications (preferred).
