Job description

Job Title: Project Leader Engineering

Responsibilities

As a Project Leader Engineering, you will work on interesting international sorting systems. Your role involves translating sales system designs into operational systems, navigating projects from start to finish.

From Sales to Go-live, you will lead multidisciplinary projects, managing time, quality, costs, and functionalities across mechanical, electrical, and controls perspectives. Collaborating with colleagues, you will identify synergies between parallel projects to facilitate learning and efficiency.

During the handover from sales to engineering, you will review customer requirements and the as-sold solutions, which serve as input for the engineering phase. In this phase, you will work closely with lead engineers, the customer, and project management to define system functionalities, develop project plans, and consider aspects like resources, supply chain, installation, and commissioning.

Once the system design is agreed upon, the detail phase begins, where specifications are created for production and procurement. You will coordinate with the supply chain and third-party suppliers to ensure quality, planning, logistics, and costs. During production and procurement, you will oversee system emulations to validate controls design, and prepare for site installation and commissioning.

When the customer’s building is ready, you will oversee on-site installation, guiding controls engineers through commissioning and testing. Post-installation, you will participate in acceptance tests with the customer and celebrate the go-live. Throughout, you will continuously identify and mitigate project risks, optimize team skills, and stay updated on equipment and process developments. Your suggestions for process improvements are highly valued.

Your profile:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical subject
• Knowledge of Mechanics, Electronics, Controls, or Mechatronics
• Several years of experience as a project leader or lead engineer in technical environments
