Job summary

Masdar, Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company, seeks an Accountant to manage bookkeeping, project accounting, and tax compliance for our portfolio. The role ensures IFRS adherence and GL integrity while supporting monthly closes and financial reporting.

The successful candidate will handle payroll, cost reporting, cash flow forecasts, and budgeting, contributing to Masdar's ambitious project financing and governance standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with ACCA or equivalent.
• 4–6 years’ experience in accounting within infrastructure, construction, or project environments.
• Strong IFRS knowledge with hands-on exposure to GL, reporting, AP/AR, reconciliations, and audits.
• Experience in tax compliance, cash flow management, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities

• Record project transactions in the GL in full compliance with IFRS and Masdar policies.
• Prepare monthly trial balance and ensure timely closing of books.
• Perform monthly accruals and provisions for accuracy.
• Ensure integrity of accounting software/system data and support external audits.
