Job summary

TECCODD CAREERS in the United Arab Emirates seeks a senior post-award commercial engineer to lead project estimation, variation management and cost control. You will coordinate with Projects, Engineering, Supply Chain and Finance to protect commercial interests and ensure timely, accurate cost submissions.

The role emphasizes detailed cost breakdowns, change management, and close collaboration with clients and subcontractors to support final account reconciliation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical preferred).
• Minimum 8 years in project estimation, variation management or post-award commercial engineering.
• Experience with modular buildings, E-Houses, substations, EPC or Oil & Gas projects preferred.
• Kn owledge of contractual change management, claims and project cost control.
• Familiarity with E&I and MEP systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for project variations, change orders and additional works.
• Review contracts, drawings, BOQs to establish estimation bases.
• Perform quantity take-offs and cost evaluations for materials, labour and subcontractors.
• Develop cost breakdowns, unit rates and supporting calculations for submissions.
• Identify deviations between original and revised project requirements.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects and Supply Chain for inputs and quotes.
• Prepare revised estimates based on as-built quantities and approved drawings.
• Maintain records of estimation assumptions and supporting documents.
• Assist in reviewing contractual provisions relevant to variations and claims.
