Job summary

Sener is seeking a Project Engineer in Abu Dhabi, UAE with 3–7 years of engineering experience and mandatory Rail & Metro project exposure to join our team on major infrastructure programs that shape the region’s transit network.

You will coordinate engineering activities across design and site teams, track progress and milestones, manage interfaces with clients, contractors and consultants, and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of overall engineering experience.
• Mandatory Rail & Metro project experience.
• Experience in coordination across design and site teams.
• Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills in English.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering (or related).
• Experience with multidisciplinary interfaces and project documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project engineering activities, technical deliverables, and interfaces across Rail & Metro projects.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, milestones, and engineering deliverables.
• Coordinate with design teams, site teams, contractors, consultants, and clients to resolve technical matters.
• Review engineering documentation and support compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Identify and coordinate resolution of technical issues, design discrepancies, site queries, and project risks.
• Support project reporting, progress reviews, change management, and follow-up of coordination actions.
• Participate in technical meetings and multidisciplinary coordination workshops.
• Maintain effective communication between engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.

We are looking for a Project Engineer with 3-7 years of engineering experience and mandatory Rail & Metro project experience to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. We welcome candidates who have developed their experience in either design engineering or site-based engineering and are looking to build on their project engineering, technical coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• 3-7 years of overall engineering experience.
• Mandatory Rail & Metro project experience.
• Previous experience in either design engineering or site-based engineering within Rail & Metro projects.
• Experience in engineering coordination, technical deliverables, and multidisciplinary project interfaces.
• Understanding of engineering standards, technical specifications, quality requirements, and project documentation.
• Strong communication, organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with excellent English proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with international engineering consultancies, contractors, or project management consultancies.
• Exposure to major rail, metro, light rail, or railway infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with GCC engineering standards and project requirements.
• Experience coordinating design and construction interfaces.
