Job summary

Parker Connect in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer to lead system installation, testing, and FAT activities for FACP and HSSD projects in Abu Dhabi. You will design panels, calculate airflow, and ensure NFPA compliance and client requirements.

You will prepare engineering documentation, coordinate with consultants and vendors, and support cross-functional teams through commissioning and handover processes. UAE driving license preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 3–5 years of UAE experience in relevant projects.
• Valid UAE Driving License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, program, test Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) per manufacturer specs.

Job description

Key Responsibilities:

System Installation & Commissioning

• Install, program, and test Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and client-specific requirements.
• Design High Sensitivity Smoke Detector (HSSD) systems, including panel design and accurate HSSSD airflow calculations.

Engineering Documentation

• Prepare engineering documentation as per approved VDRL submissions.
• Maintain accurate records for system installations, commissioning activities, and test results.
• Develop system layout drawings and airflow sampling pipe network designs using manufacturer design tools.
• Prepare method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), FAT procedures, and test protocols.
• Compile Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, compliance certificates, and full handover documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients for technical approvals and documentation flow.

Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)

• Validate hardware, firmware, programming logic, and communication protocols.
• Record and report FAT results, discrepancies, and non-conformance issues.
• Provide sign-off documentation for successful FAT completion in coordination with clients and vendors.

Flexibility & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Adapt to flexible working hours based on business demands and priorities.
• Work closely with colleagues, managers, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.

Education, Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in UAE
• Valid UAE Driving License (Preferred)
