JOB TITLE: PROJECT ENGINEER
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform project management for transmission power substations, including monitoring and controlling daily activities at the site to meet project milestones and resolving issues that may cause delays.
- Implement project management plans such as risk management, issue management, change management, and report on project performance, analyzing delays and taking corrective actions.
- Lead daily scrum meetings at the site with stakeholders and OBS team members to facilitate collaboration, planning, and project progress to meet targets.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the reporting line manager.
- Follow and adhere to the OH&S Management System Manual as per DEWA's safety standards.
- Validate site progress against the baseline, identify variances in project timelines, and implement corrective actions to mitigate delays.
- Handle official communication regarding the project with stakeholders through DEWA system (D-2).
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in power transmission projects in the electrical field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in power transmission projects in the civil field.
- PM certification (preferable).
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles and project management processes.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
- Excellent communication, analytical, planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, managing stakeholders at the site to deliver the project within scope and budget.
