An innovative architectural firm is seeking a Project Engineer for its Dubai office. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring project continuity and coordination across multiple disciplines while maintaining quality standards. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline, with 4-6 years of experience, and proficiency in relevant engineering software. We are currently looking for a Project engineer to join our Amsterdam office.
The Position:
The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting continuity, coordination, and compliance across multi disciplines. This position will act as a multi task player to the project team—ensuring project progress is uninterrupted, quality standards are met, and stakeholder communication remains seamless.
This role is tailored for professionals with experience in submittal review, document control, Aconex, and integrated project workflows, and who are confident working within dynamic, high-profile environments.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Review & QA/QC Compliance
Conduct in-depth reviews of technical submittals, RFIs, and detailed design for compliance with contract requirements, QA/QC procedures, and project matrices.
Interface across architecture, structural, MEP, and infrastructure teams to ensure design integration and quality alignment.
2. Project documentation and history
Develop and maintain a detailed correspondence log for all technical, commercial, and stakeholder-related communications.
Ensure traceability and reference consistency throughout the project lifecycle.
Record and monitor commercial communications such as variation orders, interim payments, and contract modifications.
Work closely with procurement and finance to ensure transparency and accountability.
3. Risk Management & Mitigation
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them.
Conduct regular risk assessments and update risk management plans as necessary.
Serve as a support to the Program director to ensure business flow on time within budget.
Maintain up-to-date project records to minimize disruptions and ensure workflow resilience.
4. Document Control & Coordination
Collaborate with the document control team to manage workflows using related tools such ACONEX and MS oofice.
Align closely with the project leadership team to coordinate deliverables and submission schedules.
5. Subconsultant Oversight & Performance Tracking
Monitor subcontractors scope delivery in accordance with the Responsibility and Management Matrix.
Identify gaps and escalate performance issues to UNS leadership for resolution.
Maintain professionalism and clarity in all stakeholder interactions.
6. Lifecycle Awareness & Risk Mitigation
Full awareness of project lifecycle from concept design phase until testing and commissioning (closing phase)
Understand and support the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, tendering, construction, and handover phases.
Participate in risk reviews, contribute to mitigation plans, and support project documentation closeout.
7. Continuous Improvement:
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in project planning and scheduling.
Provide training & Awareness other team members.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of UNS’s planning and scheduling processes and tools.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture, civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
4–6 years of project engineering experience in multi-disciplinary environments, ideally across Saudi Arabia and/or Gulf region
Strong technical understanding of submittals, drawings, coordination procedures, and QA/QC compliance
Proficiency in Primavera P6 preview, Aconex platforms, and engineering tools such as Power BI, AutoCAD, and Revit
Strong organizational and documentation skills with a keen eye for detail
Fluent in English (spoken and written); Arabic is a plus
Adaptable, reliable, and capable of managing multiple streams of work under pressure
