Responsibilities and Authorities:
- Initiate and respond to contractual issues throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Monitor project progress and prepare comprehensive project progress reports.
- Represent Johnson Controls in client project quality and HSE meetings.
- Manage formal (letter) and informal (verbal) communication with clients.
- Oversee invoicing processes and collection of payments from clients.
- Develop a thorough understanding and experience of all technical systems.
- Prepare technical submittals and submit them to clients.
- Ensure the production and issuance of design drawings and calculations.
- Prepare and comply with the project quality plan and Inspection & Test Plans.
- Ensure full compliance of the project with specifications and client requirements.
- Assume full responsibility for cost management of the projects.
- Prepare and submit monthly cost reports to senior management for review.
- Initiate change processes to manage variations to the contract.
- Follow the project to completion and ensure final payment is received.
- Responsible for the production of a fully resourced program in line with the contract agreement.
- Ensure key milestone dates are met; develop plans to address delays and bring the project back on track.
- Manage all allocated staff and resources to complete the project on time.
- Request resources within the budgeted allowance.
- Liaise with staff from other projects to ensure efficient use of company resources.
- Develop and train allocated staff.
- Be conversant with company and client QHSE policies/procedures and ensure operatives understand and implement them in their areas of responsibility.
- Liaise with QA/QC and HSE managers on all aspects of Quality and HSE.
- Review and submit project handover documents to clients.
- Prepare and submit project completion feedback reports to the sales department.
- Monitor the progress of subcontracted works where applicable.
- Ensure all applicable QHSE documents are readily available at the point of use, particularly project-specific QHSE documents at the site.
- Ensure complete project data/records are archived after project completion and forwarded to the IS department for effective archiving.
- Ensure nonconformities in materials/products are addressed in accordance with applicable management system procedures and appropriate corrective/preventive actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
- Ensure necessary inspections and tests of products are performed and inspection & test records are maintained prior to handover to customers.
Education & Experience:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in Mechanical or Electrical project management in Fire Protection / Fire Detection.
- Experience in the U.A.E market with exposure to Oil and Gas sector clients.
