Job summary

UnitedYou Ventures is seeking a Project Director to provide strategic leadership for major oil & gas projects in the UAE.

You will direct planning, execution, safety, regulatory compliance, manage diverse teams, and maintain stakeholder relationships with clients, government agencies, and partners, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

This role requires extensive senior leadership experience and a proven track record of mega-projects ($100M+ budgets).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, or related field).
• 15+ years of project management experience in oil & gas.
• 7+ years in a senior leadership role with mega-projects ($100M+ budgets).
• MBA or PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale oil & gas projects (upstream, midstream, or downstream).
• Define project scope, objectives, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with senior management.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, industry regulations, and quality standards.
• Manage project risks, issues, and change requests, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Oversee multidisciplinary teams (engineering, procurement, construction, and contractors).
• Liaise with clients, government agencies, investors, and joint venture partners to maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Monitor project financials, ensuring cost control and profitability.
• Provide high-level reporting to executives on project progress, challenges, and KPIs.

• Liaise with clients, government agencies, investors, and joint venture partners to maintain strong stakeholder relationships.
• Monitor project financials, ensuring cost control and profitability.
• Provide high-level reporting to executives on project progress, challenges, and KPIs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, or related field); MBA or PMP preferred.
• 15+ years of project management experience in oil & gas, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of managing mega-projects ($100M+ budgets).
• Strong knowledge of industry standards (API, ISO, ASME) and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
