Scope of Responsibilities :
Provides leadership to the project management team, including project managers, procurement, project control, contracts management, quality assurance/quality control, and health/safety and environment teams, to ensure successful project completion within time, budget, and quality parameters. Experience managing projects exceeding $75 Million.
Primary Duties :
- Lead proposal preparation, supervise RFQ analysis, and oversee data collection for technical and financial proposals.
- Prepare preliminary execution plans, supervise data collation, and complete proposals.
- Supervise the development of the overall project plan and execution strategies for management review and approval upon project award.
- Manage the approved plan to meet project deliverables and timelines, including organizing the team, developing schedules, and aligning with contract provisions. Approve key project documents and schedules.
- Establish specific plans for HSE, quality, and cost control.
- Participate in budget preparation during tendering, covering project control, administration, and daily costs. Ensure resource availability and proper engineering and procurement checks.
- Control project execution through project management, engineering, and construction teams, ensuring safety and efficiency within set targets and schedules.
- Liaise with client senior management to resolve conflicts and maintain strong working relationships.
- Manage personnel issues, communication, and reporting, providing regular updates on project progress, forecasts, and performance against plans.
- Ensure project managers deliver projects on time and within budget through regular monitoring and meetings.
- Provide leadership to contracting agencies, maintain professional dealings with subcontractors and vendors, and ensure quality and safety standards are upheld.
- Promote quality awareness through audits and rectify non-conformances to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain high safety standards, ensuring positive client feedback and proactive safety management.
- Develop monthly cost reports, forecast project completion, and minimize variances.
- Foster teamwork, motivate staff, and develop potential leaders through mentoring and career development plans.
- Guide senior staff, monitor performance, and support career progression and training.
- Lead meetings with clients and internal teams to address issues and coordinate activities.
- Perform any other activities as required.
