Job Title: Project Director – Electromechanical Installations
Project: Large-scale urban development in Abu Dhabi, UAE
Key Responsibilities And Functions
As a
Project Director, you will lead a
complex electromechanical installation projects in a large-scale urban development, ensuring top-quality execution and delivery.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the design, implementation, and execution of electromechanical systems within the project.
- Evaluate the integration and impact of installations on the overall project.
- Define basic and detailed engineering, prepare technical documentation, and draft comprehensive plans.
- Collaborate with civil works, architectural, and structural teams to ensure alignment.
- Conduct mechanical, hydraulic, and low-voltage (BT) and medium-voltage (MT) electrical system designs and calculations.
- Design and develop communication and control systems.
- Specify and select systems and equipment.
- Manage installation, assembly, testing, and commissioning processes.
- Deliver completed projects to clients and oversee warranty periods.
Project Oversight:
- Ensure the project adheres to required quality standards, deadlines, and budgets in compliance with contractual agreements, EAG procedures, client requirements, and corporate policies.
- Develop and oversee project plans, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Monitor schedules and milestones to ensure timely project delivery.
Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary contact for clients and external stakeholders.
- Maintain close collaboration with all involved parties to gather critical information and resolve issues affecting deadlines, quality, or budgets.
Commercial and Contractual Management:
- Provide technical support in developing proposals and bids.
- Define the project’s organizational structure and determine resource needs.
- Identify and recommend necessary subcontractors.
- Manage the contract scope, addressing potential modifications or opportunities for additional work while avoiding scope reductions.
- Keep detailed records to facilitate quick and effective claims or change requests.
Project Monitoring and Reporting:
- Oversee all technical, quality, planning, and financial aspects to ensure compliance with commitments and deliverables.
- Regularly track project progress, addressing any deviations promptly.
- Clearly define roles and responsibilities for all project participants, ensuring seamless execution across design, procurement, and implementation stages.
Required Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering (Electrical or Civil), Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
Preferred Additional Qualifications:
- PMP Certification.
- Experience in the design and construction of mechanical and/or electrical installations.
- Proven expertise in on-site supervision, testing, and commissioning of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Experience managing large-scale projects in the Middle East is highly valued.
Required Experience
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in similar roles.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in project management and control tools.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (Revit is a plus).
Language Skills
- English: Minimum C1 level.
Work Location
- Abu Dhabi, UAE. Flexibility to travel is required.
Work Contract
- Directly with GHESA Dubai, UAE. This project is expected to last 24 months.
