WSP are seeking a Project Director to join our dynamic team and lead collaborative efforts on complex transport and infrastructure development projects in Dubai. As a Project Director you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of our multidisciplinary WSP teams on major transport & infrastructure design and masterplan design projects. You will work closely with diverse project stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects while optimizing outcomes for all parties involved.""

Responsibilities

  • Collaborative Leadership: Foster a culture of collaboration and cooperation among all project stakeholders, promoting the principles of Integrated Project Delivery.
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, and schedule, and ensure alignment with client objectives and project goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with and manage relationships with clients, design professionals, contractors, and key trade partners throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project financials, manage budgets, and implement cost-effective strategies to achieve project objectives while maintaining profitability.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes to ensure that project deliverables meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and manage project schedules, track progress, and implement adjustments as needed to meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Change Management: Facilitate change orders and variations while maintaining alignment with project goals and client requirements.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and open communication channels among all project stakeholders, providing regular updates and facilitating problem-solving discussions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation, leveraging Lean principles to enhance project efficiency and value.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Senior PM/Project Director on large-scale transport and infrastructure design projects.
  • Technical candidate, skilled in detailed design and master planning.
  • Minimum 20 years of professional experience in the construction engineering field.
  • Must have experience of working on Dubai based projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • PMP or relevant project management certification is a plus.
  • Fluency in English.
