Job Purpose:
To oversee and manage the execution of multiple large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to required quality and safety standards. The Project Director provides strategic leadership and coordination among project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.'
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy:
- Provide strategic oversight and leadership to project teams (Engineering, Planning, Commercial, HSE, QA/QC, etc.)
- Define project objectives and ensure alignment with the company’s overall goals.
- Lead regular project reviews and board-level reporting.
- Project Management:
- Manage the full lifecycle of multiple construction projects.
- Ensure adherence to contract terms, schedules, budgets, and compliance requirements.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, procurement, and execution.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the key point of contact between the client, consultants, contractors, and government entities.
- Manage communication and relationships with all stakeholders.
- Resolve major conflicts and high-risk issues that may impact the project.
- Commercial & Financial Oversight:
- Monitor project budgets, approve variations, and ensure cost control.
- Work with commercial and finance teams to track project expenditures and cash flows.
- Support in tendering, contract awards, and procurement strategy.
- Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE):
- Enforce strict adherence to QHSE standards.
- Ensure site safety, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
- Promote a strong safety culture across all projects.
- People Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage multidisciplinary project teams.
- Approve key project hires and organizational structure.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement talent development plans.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum 15–20 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 5 years in a Director or Senior Leadership role.
