Position: Project Engineer - Major Subcontract Management
We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to manage major subcontract scopes (Jacket & Piles) independently from project award to handover, adhering to company guidelines and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the major subcontract scope (Jacket & Piles) from award to handover.
- Act as the point of contact and be fully responsible for the project/package.
- Initiate coordination meetings with stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Ensure design, procurement, and construction activities align with schedules and budgets.
- Manage commercial aspects, including variations, claims, and correspondence.
- Review technical aspects of in-house products and systems.
- Coordinate logistics and support construction modifications as needed.
- Liaise with partners and subcontractors on safety issues.
- Maintain quality activities in collaboration with the Quality Department.
- Update project program and manage work enabling documentation.
- Coordinate planning, scheduling, and cost issues with contractors.
- Prepare weekly look-ahead planning and report on project progress and costs.
- Identify and manage project risks and maintain the risk register.
- Manage the project budget and expenditure profiles.
- Conduct regular program and cost review meetings.
- Establish and manage support service agreements with external organizations.
- Ensure effective management of service providers and interface with other project engineers for coordination.
- Maintain daily logs of work, delays, and issues.
- Oversee fabrication schedules, deadlines, and workflow.
- Manage change orders, claims, and support dispute resolution activities.
- Apply analytical skills to review project data, identify issues, and mitigate risks.
- Experience with cost control, project estimating, forecasting, and reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Office and document management.
- Maintain confidentiality and organize tasks effectively.
- Ensure compliance with safety and occupational health standards.
- Have broad industry knowledge and familiarity with project management systems and standards.
- Lead and manage project teams effectively.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
- 10+ years relevant experience with an international EPC company.
