Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning, design, execution, commissioning, and successful handover of the manufacturing unit expansion project.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans with strict adherence to final project scope and timelines.
- Finalize and manage the selection of equipment vendors and service providers in consultation with senior management.
- Conduct a full infrastructure readiness assessment, including utilities, warehousing, and site access at UAQ.
- Review and ensure fulfillment of all regulatory, licensing, and compliance requirements in UAQ.
- Prepare, review, and present the project break-even analysis for board approval.
- Establish and manage risk assessments, mitigation plans, and contingency strategies.
- Develop and formalize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to plant operations and project execution.
- Define and uphold a clear project reporting hierarchy to facilitate efficient communication and progress monitoring.
- Organize and participate in weekly progress review meetings with senior management and key stakeholders.
- Maintain consistent communication with stakeholders, providing timely project updates, risk notifications, and resolution strategies.
- Manage vendor and contractor relationships, ensuring timely procurement, delivery, and installation of equipment and services.
- Prepare detailed project documentation, including reports, regulatory filings, project evaluations, and closeout reports.
- Provide input and analysis on the strategic benefits of establishing the plant in UAQ versus Mumbai to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and other regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Project Management or a related field into Chemical.
- PMP certification or equivalent project management credentials preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience managing manufacturing unit projects, preferably in the chemical industry.
- Expertise in Chemical Process Engineering, Mechanical, Piping & Equipment (MPE), and Civil Works.
- Strong knowledge of project lifecycle management, including design, installation, commissioning, and operational transfer.
- Solid understanding of regulatory compliance, risk management, and financial feasibility analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
