Job summary

Blake Anderson is seeking a Project Controls officer to drive digital transformation of the project reporting ecosystem in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on integrating Primavera P6 EPPM with Power BI, building automated dashboards, and enabling data‑driven insights for stakeholders.

You will manage data pipelines, governance, and Power Platform integrations (Power Apps, Dataverse), collaborating with IT and project teams to optimize data visualization and reporting across projects.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years in data analytics, project reporting, or digital transformation.
• At least 2 years developing Power BI reports for the construction/real estate industry.
• Experience integrating Primavera P6 EPPM with Power BI.
• Proven track record building enterprise‑level Power BI dashboards.
• Knowledge of data governance, RLS, and data security.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of Primavera P6 EPPM data with Power BI for automated dashboards and KPIs.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models connecting P6, PowerApps, and Dataverse.
• Ensure data accuracy, refresh efficiency, and performance across reports and systems.
• Oversee Power BI workspace, datasets, permissions, and user access.
• Design, develop, and deploy interactive dashboards and executive reports for cost, schedule, and progress.
• Implement row-level security and governance standards.

Our client, a leading real estate developer in Abu Dhabi, requires a Project Controls officer to join their team. This role is highly technology-driven, and candidates must possess strong core experience in digital transformation, dashboard development, and data analytics. They should have a proven ability to work closely with data to deliver meaningful insights and ensure effective data visualization for stakeholders. Hands-on expertise in building and maintaining Power BI dashboards is essential for success in this role.While real estate experience can be an added value, however, we would accept candidates from different domains if they possess proper experience with business and data analytics.

JOB PURPOSE

To support in the digital transformation of the project reporting ecosystem.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The role involves integrating Primavera P6 EPPM with Power BI, managing the ongoing administration, automation, and optimization of Power BI reports, and supporting the integration of Power Apps and Microsoft Dataverse into a unified data environment.

Integration & Automation

• Lead the integration of Primavera P6 EPPM data with Power BI for automated project dashboards and KPIs.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models connecting P6, PowerApps, and Dataverse.
• Ensure data accuracy, refresh efficiency, and performance optimization across reports and systems.

Power BI Administration & Development

• Oversee the Power BI workspace , datasets, permissions, and user access.
• Maintain existing dashboards and develop new interactive dashboards and executive reports for projects; design, cost, and schedule performance, progress layouts using shapemaps/TopoJSON..etc.
• Implement row-level security, governance standards, and version control.

Power Platform & Data Ecosystem

• Support the integration of Power Apps, Dataverse, and SharePoint into Power BI for workflow automation and analytics.
• Coordinate with IT and project teams to ensure seamless data synchronization across platforms.

Process Improvement

• Identify manual reporting pain points and automate them using Power BI, Power Automate, or Power Apps.
• Recommend and implement best practices in data architecture, visualization, and governance.

Stakeholder Support

• Collaborate with IT, EPMO, development team, procurement team, project control team, and management to gather reporting requirements.
• Deliver training and documentation for internal users on Power BI dashboards and integrations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Certifications in data analytics or project management systems is an advantage.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, administration).
• Primavera P6 EPPM integration, database structure, and data warehousing knowledge
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform - Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, APIs, and ETL tools (Python or Azure Data Factory experience a plus).
• Familiarity with data governance, RLS, and data security frameworks.
• Knowledge of project controls concepts (schedule, cost, progress, and KPIs).

Experience Requiredo

• O Minimum 5-7 years of experience in data analytics, project reporting, or digital transformation roles.
• O At least 2 years of direct experience developing power bi reports for the construction/real estate industry with experience in integrating Primavera P6 EPPM with Power BI.
• O Proven track record in developing enterprise-level Power BI dashboards and managing Power BI environments.

Preferred Certificationso

• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI) Power Platform App Maker or Developer Associate
