Job summary

Target Engineering Construction Co LLC is seeking a Planning/Data Engineer to advance its Advanced Work Packaging team, delivering data-driven dashboards, pipelines, and BI solutions for UAE Oil & Gas EPC projects.

The role emphasizes project controls, analytics, governance, and stakeholder collaboration, with experience in Power BI, SQL, Python, and data warehousing. You'll contribute to decision support and continuous improvement across major projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in project controls, data analytics, reporting, or BI environments.
• Experience within Oil & Gas, EPC, construction or industrial projects preferred.
• Bachelor's/Diploma in Engineering or data-related field required.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project dashboards, reports, and performance monitoring tools.
• Create data models, KPI calculations, and business intelligence solutions.
• Design interactive visualizations to support project controls and management reporting.
• Gather reporting and analytical requirements from project stakeholders.
• Implement report governance, security, and data management standards.
• Optimize report and dashboard performance.
• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Develop and manage data warehouses and centralized reporting solutions.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Planning / Data Engineer to join our Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) team and support the digital transformation of major Oil & Gas EPC projects. This role combines project controls, planning analytics, and business intelligence to deliver actionable insights that enhance project performance, reporting, and decision-making.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing data-driven solutions, dashboards, reporting systems, and data pipelines that support project execution and stakeholder requirements across complex EPC projects.

YOUR ROLE

As Planning/Data Engineer, you will be responsible in the performance of the following but not limited to duties and responsibilities;

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in project controls, data analytics, reporting, or business intelligence environments.

Experience within Oil & Gas, EPC, construction, or industrial projects is highly preferred.

Education and Certifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
