Role Summary

The project Control Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and managing all aspects of project control activities (Planning, Cost Control, Progress measurement, and reporting) for the Gas project under PMC framework. The role ensure compliance with client requirements, contractual obligations, and industry standards, providing effective oversight of the EPC Contractor’s performance.

Key responsibilities
  • Lead the project control team (Planning, cost, estimating, and reporting).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain project control systems, procedures, and standards.
  • Review, monitor, and validate EPC contractor’s schedules against contractual milestones.
  • Ensure accurate cost forecasting, budget control, and cash flow management.
  • Monitor progress and expedite it with relevant disciplines, monitor and alert on productivity, and performance trends against baseline plans.
  • Prepare consolidated project reports for management and client, including dashboards, KPI’s and variance analyses.
  • Provide early warnings of deviations, risks, and potential delays, with mitigation recommendations.
  • Support claims analysis, change management, and extension of time assessments.
  • Ensure proper coordination between planning, cost, procurement, and contracts.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, or related fields.
  • 20 Years of experience in project control, with at least 10 years in a Project Control Manager role on large scale oil & gas projects.
  • Strong knowledge of PMC and EPC environments.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, cost control tools, and earned value management.
  • Excellent analytical, reporting, and leadership skills.
  • Middle East project experience preferred.
