The opportunity:

You as Project Business Controller will be part of Hitachi Energy. You will be expected to support the Project Manager in all financial and commercial matters and actively drive the project's performance. Assigned to multiple projects, you will also support the OU controller with business controlling.

How you'll make an impact:

• Tender Stage: Support the tender manager on financial aspects, provide input to negotiations on commercial issues, and contribute to local and global risk review processes.
• Project: Provide input to the Project Plan on financial aspects.
• Prepares project invoices, financial accounting, and reporting on projects. Drive project cash flow and oversee currency risk and tax issues. Responsible for the correctness of the project's balance sheet and income statement, as well as for cash flow and monthly/quarterly forecasts.
• Monitoring and Review: Participate in opportunity risk identification and monitor that all required mitigation actions are timely implemented. Actively support the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing monthly project reviews. Participate in preparing and analyzing the project's cost reports and verify the substance for cost to complete.
• Commercial Terms: Provide support on claim management, backcharges, insurance cases, and monitor proper follow-up together with the Contract Manager, Project Manager upstream (towards customer), sidestream (towards consortia partner if applicable), and downstream (towards suppliers).
• Compliance: Support the Project Manager in adherence to corporate governance, integrity assurance, internal control, group charter, and country-specific finance directives and instructions.
• Other Controlling: Act as deputy and support the Operating Unit Controller on business controlling topics.

Your background:

• A bachelor's degree or master's degree in finance is required.
• 5-10 years of project controlling or finance experience in Energy or T&D industries is preferred.
• Customer and business-oriented with strong commercial and communication skills.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
