Job summary

EDGE in the United Arab Emirates is seeking a Specialist Accounting Emirati Talent - Project Based to provide accounting and financial support to contract operations, ensure accuracy, and coordinate with suppliers, logistics, and customers on project billing and reporting.

The role covers the full accounting cycle for projects, VAT and regulatory compliance, and close collaboration with audit teams to maintain transparent records and timely financial insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5 years accounting experience, ideally in finance, contracts, defense, or logistics.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Office.
• Strong analytical and financial reconciliation skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Effective communication and coordination across functions.
• Strong time management and accountability in task execution.
• Integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Record, verify, and reconcile supplier invoices, GRNs, and service entries in SAP.
• Support journal entries, accruals, and adjustments for month-end/year-end closing.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, summaries, and reconciliations for management.
• Monitor cost allocations, advances, and payment schedules for accurate reporting.
• Ensure VAT, customs, and regulatory compliance for shipments and services.
• Follow up on Duty Exemption and Customs Certificates for international shipments.
• Prepare contract-related certificates and ensure timely acknowledgement.
• Ensure contract terms meet accounting policies and controls.
• Support daily operations: invoices, deliveries, and documentation checks.
• Coordinate delivery of spare parts and services per contract timelines.
• Track shipment progress and proper cost allocation.
• Resolve delivery or billing discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Maintain contract documentation and related correspondence.
• Serve as main contact for accounting and contract-related inquiries.
• Use SAP and supply chain modules to manage financial transactions.
• Maintain secure, up-to-date financial and contract records.
• Support internal/external audits with documentation and reconciliations.
