Responsibilities

Our newest opportunity is for a talented Project Architect to join our team, based in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

We envisage success in this role to include:

  • Providing leadership and subject matter expertise to achieve time, cost, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the production of information related to discipline-specific services submittal progress.
  • Reviewing submitted shop drawings and material submittals against drawings, specifications, local codes, statutory requirements, and international best practices.
  • Ensuring coordination between discipline-related services works and other disciplines.
  • Providing technical input to resolve architectural-related engineering issues.
  • Maintaining communication with the client and contractor's discipline engineers on project issues.
  • Coordinating work for successful project hand-over.
  • Attending technical and progress meetings with the contractor/client's representatives.
  • Identifying issues and risks, bringing them to senior management’s attention as necessary.
  • Managing QA/QC project requirements within the discipline.
  • Preparing correspondence for clients/contractors to meet project objectives.
  • Reviewing as-built and O&M manuals for completeness.
  • Serving as the primary contact for Project Team Leader and senior site personnel on architectural-related issues.
  • Engaging with relevant authorities.
  • Assisting Quantity Surveyor in assessing contractor claims for variations.
  • Supporting the Planner in evaluating contractor schedules and planning matters.
  • Researching and documenting regulatory and code requirements.
  • Ensuring timely completion and assessment of project submittals and documentation.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

To succeed, you should have at least 7+ years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, and be a member of RIBA and/or AIA. LEED accreditation is highly regarded.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture, Revit Architecture, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
