Job summary

Mackenzie Jones Middle East is seeking an experienced Project Accounting Manager to own the financial control of our development portfolio from land acquisition through handover in the UAE. You will lead project accounting in Oracle Fusion Cloud, driving budgets, cost-to-complete and EAC forecasts, and delivering monthly profitability insights to senior management.

Qualifications

8+ years of accounting experience with at least 4 years in project accounting in real estate development, construction or similar.
Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials and Project Portfolio Management (Project Costing, Project Control, Project Contracts/Billing).
Strong knowledge of IFRS, particularly IFRS 15, IAS 2, IAS 16, IAS 23 and IAS 40.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end project accounting for all development projects (land, infrastructure, construction, consultancy and soft costs).
Track committed, incurred and forecast costs against budgets; explain variances.
Set up and maintain projects, tasks, expenditure types and WBS in Oracle Fusion PPM.
Review and approve contractor/payment certificates, variations and retention with Projects/Cost Management teams.
Prepare budgets, cost-to-complete and EAC forecasts with Development and Commercial teams.
Deliver monthly project cost reports, cash flow forecasts and profitability analyses for management and board.
