Job Description

The MENA Grocery team (UFG) offers a role to build new business from the ground up. We seek a self-starter capable of adapting quickly to a fast-paced environment, building trust with cross-functional teams, and taking ownership of complex business, tech, and operations processes at Amazon and our partners. The ideal candidate thrives in an entrepreneurial setting, handles ambiguity and competing priorities well, and possesses high judgment, analytical skills, and concise communication abilities.

This role involves influencing stakeholders and leadership to support strategic initiatives, driving end-to-end program execution, onboarding partners, and continuously analyzing metrics for improvement. Regular communication with senior leadership on business reviews, operational excellence, project execution, and risks is expected. The candidate should be comfortable working strategically and diving into details to ensure feasible solutions and quality execution.

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Support Category leader in driving strategic initiatives and new business opportunities
  2. Collaborate with Retail PF/Category Leaders to optimize product selection for grocery and non-grocery portfolios
  3. Identify automation opportunities to scale solutions and improve key metrics like selection, profitability, pricing, and availability
  4. Post-launch, own P&L to meet financial targets and lead projects to enhance profitability involving vendors, operations, and advertising teams
  5. Define and refine assortment strategies to optimize space utilization
  6. Engage with retail teams during Tier 1 & Tier 2 events to source deals and deliver value to Prime customers
  7. Collaborate with retail category teams to ensure content quality and improve conversion rates
  8. Negotiate marketing funds from vendors for category visibility during regular and event periods
  9. Partner with retail teams to include UFG in annual retail JBP for common vendors
  10. Work with Ads team to ensure UFG receives fair brand advertising investments

Desired Candidate Profile

  1. 5+ years of experience in end-to-end delivery and presenting results to senior leadership
  2. 5+ years of experience in process improvements
  3. Stakeholder management experience across organizational levels
  4. Experience in process building, project management, and scheduling
  5. Master's degree preferred
