Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years in nuclear energy project management or large infrastructure projects.
• PM certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 are required.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nuclear safety standards and IAEA/ UAE regulations.
• Strong program budgeting, financial management, and cost control capabilities.
• Proven leadership of large, diverse teams in regulated environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication with government and international partners.
• Proficiency with project management tools and software platforms.
• Experience in the Middle East or UAE regulatory environment preferred.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Program Director to lead our nuclear project in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of a large-scale nuclear energy initiative, from conception through completion. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional project management expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance. You will work collaboratively with international stakeholders, government agencies, and technical teams to deliver a transformational project that advances the region's energy infrastructure.

• Develop and execute comprehensive program strategies, timelines, and budgets for the nuclear project, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements
• Provide decisive leadership and direction to cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and support staff, while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
• Manage all aspects of project budget, financial forecasting, and resource allocation, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal utilization of funds
• Coordinate with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and international partners to ensure compliance with IAEA standards, UAE nuclear regulations, and all applicable safety protocols
• Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks through detailed planning and proactive problem-solving
• Monitor project performance against key milestones and deliverables, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain schedule and quality standards
• Oversee vendor and contractor management, including procurement, performance evaluation, and contract negotiations
• Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance and safety management systems across all project phases
• Prepare and present detailed progress reports, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders
• Champion a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to all nuclear safety protocols and best practices

What do we need from you

• Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in nuclear energy project management, large-scale infrastructure projects, or related sectors
• Professional project management certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2
• Comprehensive knowledge of nuclear safety standards, IAEA regulations, and international nuclear industry best practices
• Demonstrated expertise in program budgeting, financial management, and cost control
• Proven leadership experience managing large, diverse teams in complex, regulated environments
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills with the ability to assess complex technical and operational challenges
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities, with experience engaging government agencies and international partners
• Proficiency in project management tools and software platforms
• Detailed understanding of contract negotiation and vendor management
• Experience working in the Middle East or UAE regulatory environment (preferred)
• Familiarity with large-scale energy infrastructure or utility projects (preferred)
• Knowledge of quality assurance and safety management systems (preferred)
