Job summary

American International Group (AIG) UAE invites a qualified Casualty Underwriter to join our team in Dubai. You will underwrite new and renewal casualty business, manage assigned territory, and collaborate with brokers and clients to drive profitable growth.

You'll be responsible for applying underwriting guidelines, pricing appropriately, and maintaining relationships across brokers and clients. The role emphasizes independent decision-making, strong communication, and adherence to regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience in territory management within insurance.
• Negotiations skills and time management training preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of property & casualty industry.
• Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Casualty Underwriting Guidelines in line with corporate strategy and profitability goals.
• Underwrite new and renewal business to promote premium growth within UW authority.
• Achieve overall production goals in collaboration with the Underwriting Manager.
• Provide sound underwriting decisions and price risks to achieve profit targets.
• Provide feedback on renewal loss ratios that exceed permissible levels.
• Identify poor performing accounts and take corrective actions.
• Evaluate and analyze submissions, apply guidelines, and make underwriting decisions.
• Maintain broker/client relationships and generate new business from existing producers.
• Ensure pricing tools are used correctly and that quotes, binders and policies comply with regulations.
