The American University in the Emirates (AUE) invites applications for Full-Time Faculty positions at the Associate Professor and Full Professor levels in the College of Law in Dubai. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in Law, have completed 18 graduate credit hours, and possess a strong record of peer-reviewed publications.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Law (Public Law, Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, or a closely related field) from an accredited university in the United States or a recognized international university.
• Applicants must have completed their Ph.D. by the time of recruitment.
• A minimum of 18 credit hours of graduate-level study in the relevant field.
• A minimum of three articles published in Scopus-indexed journals or five articles in peer-reviewed law journals within the past five years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver research- and practice-driven teaching in Administrative and Constitutional Law.
• Apply current pedagogical techniques, such as case-based learning, moot court, and legal analysis exercises.
• Provide students with a broad and coherent body of legal knowledge while developing relevant skills and competencies through effective teaching and appropriate assessment methods.
• Effectively manage the instructional process and maintain a positive and engaging learning environment.
• Evaluate student performance and assign grades in accordance with established academic standards.
• Set clear expectations for students and ensure fairness and objectivity in assessment practices.
• Contribute to regular curriculum review and improvement of existing curricula.
• Maintain currency and relevance of legal theories, legislation, and practices.
• Promote increasingly complex presentation and application of legal principles and facilitate practical application.
