Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Accounting Faculty Member with a PhD in Accounting or related field and a minimum of 5 years of academic or professional experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching, research, and curriculum development. The position requires active participation in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, academic advising, and contributing to scholarly activities and institutional service.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Curriculum Development

  • Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and workshops in core accounting areas (e.g., Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, IFRS).
  • Develop, update, and enhance course materials in alignment with academic standards and industry relevance.
  • Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects and dissertations.
  • Integrate modern accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Excel, Xero) into classroom instruction.

Research & Scholarship

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research aligned with departmental goals.
  • Publish in peer-reviewed academic journals, present at international conferences, and contribute to academic knowledge in the field.
  • Seek external funding and participate in research grant applications.

Academic Service & Leadership

  • Participate in departmental meetings, academic committees, and institutional events.
  • Engage in student mentoring, academic advising, and career development support.
  • Support the accreditation processes (e.g., AACSB, EQUIS) and quality assurance initiatives.

Community & Industry Engagement

  • Foster partnerships with accounting firms, industry stakeholders, and professional bodies (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CMA).
  • Contribute to executive education and consulting assignments if applicable.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

  • PhD in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching and/or professional experience in the accounting domain.
  • Demonstrated record of academic research and publications.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).

Preferred:

  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA).
  • Experience with online and blended learning platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard).
  • Exposure to international or multicultural academic environments.
