The Role

Aspen Technology is seeking a Professional Services Project Director within the Professional Services Project Management Office in the Middle East (MENA) region. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering cutting-edge technology projects to market-leading companies. This role offers significant influence and visibility with clients.

Your Impact
  • Oversee, monitor, and manage projects strategically.
  • Deliver multiple software implementation projects on time and within budget, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Execute all project management phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closeout.
  • Supervise contractors, consultants, and engineers assigned to projects.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting, administration, and documentation requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through world-class delivery practices.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Support, Product Management, Sales, and Customer Success teams.
  • Recommend project adjustments if progress is not on schedule or results are unsatisfactory.
What You'll Need
  • Minimum of 14 years of project management leadership experience with IT initiatives.
  • Experience in the process industry, preferably oil & gas, petrochemicals, or similar sectors.
  • Experience managing multiple projects across different business functions and locations.
  • Experience working with international clients, mainly in the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and India.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate business requirements into project deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, capable of engaging at all organizational levels.
  • Experience creating detailed project plans, presentations, and financial reports.
  • Ability to adapt communication for different stakeholders.
  • Strong team-building and management skills to unify diverse groups.
  • Leadership by influence rather than formal authority.
  • Technical understanding of delivering technology projects, including new system implementations.
  • Proficiency in project management areas: scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, procurement.
  • Customer-focused mindset to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop solutions.
  • Willingness to travel at least 25%, including internationally.
  • Industry-recognized project management certification is desirable.
  • Experience with both waterfall and agile methodologies is a plus.
