Job summary

AL TARIQ in Abu Dhabi seeks a Production Team Lead to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations, drive safety, quality and on-time delivery, and coordinate resources across planning, engineering, quality, maintenance, and training.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, developing team capability, and meeting demanding production targets in a regulated defense environment. This position supports a structured, safety-driven workplace with emphasis on teamwork and problem solving.

Qualifications

  • 7-8+ years in manufacturing environments with at least 2 years leading shopfloor teams.
  • Solid understanding of production KPIs (output, schedule adherence, FPY, scrap/rework, OTD/OTIF).
  • Experience with defect containment and structured root cause analysis (5-Why, 8D/A3) and action follow-up to closure.
  • Proven ability to work in ramp-up contexts with changing priorities, shortages/constraints and high execution intensity.
  • Strong communication and coaching skills, able to lead multicultural teams and enforce standard work discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production execution for the assigned area/shift, delivering Safety, Quality and Delivery targets (output, schedule adherence)
  • Plan and manage staffing: operator allocation, skills matching and workload distribution to meet takt and line priorities
  • Run daily tier meetings and visual management (SQDC boards), escalating blockers with data and ensuring closure of actions
  • Ensure product quality: standard work compliance, in-process checks, traceability, documentation and immediate defect containment
  • Coach and develop operators (on-the-job training), coordinating with Training/DOJO for onboarding, certification and re-certification needs
  • Drive CI on the shopfloor (5S, waste removal, defect reduction, process stabilization) and sustain improvements through audits
  • Partner with Maintenance/ Engineering to tackle downtime and process issues (first response, RCA, preventive actions) and prevent recurrence

Job Description

The Production Team Lead is responsible for leading day-to-day manufacturing operations within an assigned production area, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of production plans.

The role manages shopfloor teams, coordinates resources, drives operational performance, and ensures adherence to production, quality, and safety standards. Working closely with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Training, the Production Team Lead fosters continuous improvement, develops team capability, and supports the delivery of Pulse Novas manufacturing objectives in a regulated defense environment.
