A leading global energy provider in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Production Supervisor to manage filling operations and ensure HSSEQ compliance. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in lubricant manufacturing, strong supervisory skills, and a Technical Diploma in relevant disciplines. Responsibilities include overseeing the filling team, monitoring safety procedures, and optimizing production processes.

Job description

Context & Environment

Internal :

  • Production Engineer / Production Supervisor (Blending / bulk) / Production Technician (Blending / bulk).
  • Maintenance Technician / Maintenance Supervisor / QC Team / Packaging Engineer / HSSEQ team.

External :

  • Interaction with contract manpower suppliers, transport crews, especially packaging material transporters. The site contact point for external interactions, ensuring company image.
  • Activities

    • Manage filling lines, oversee changeovers, control timing, and direct the filling team.
    • Monitor work areas for losses and suggest improvements.
    • Ensure compliance with HSSEQ guidelines, procedures, and work instructions; propose updates.
    • Participate in HSSEQ training, lead toolbox meetings, and train new operators.
    • Prevent quality or safety incidents through vigilance.
    • Ensure productive operations, assist in troubleshooting, and perform minor maintenance.
    • Manage packaging materials, conduct stock counts, and coordinate with production engineering.
    • Operate key machines efficiently, monitor stock levels, and report variances.
    • Conduct daily safety meetings, inspect packaging materials, and report non-conformities.

    Job Related Objectives :

    • Execute daily filling plans, optimize packaging material usage, and complete work orders accurately.
    • Update SAP/MES systems, control ISO documentation, and analyze OEE for improvements.
    • Log breakdowns, ensure quality interlocks, and participate in investigations.
    • Train subordinates, support productivity, and participate in equipment commissioning.
    • Maintain 5S & visual management, participate in inspections.

    HSSEQ Objectives :

    • Adhere to regulatory and safety requirements, participate in incident reporting and investigations.
    • Comply with group HSSEQ policies, use PPE, and participate in safety audits and training.
    • Exhibit exemplary conduct regarding HSSEQ, with authority to stop unsafe operations.

    Compliance Objectives :

    • Follow company compliance policies, report violations promptly.

    Candidate Profile

    Knowledge :

    • Understanding of lubricants filling, HSSEQ management, and safety procedures.

    Skills :

    • Teamwork, supervisory skills, computer literacy (Outlook, MS Office), English proficiency.

    Experience :

    • 3-5 years in lubricant or similar manufacturing operations, familiarity with safety standards and working with contractual staff preferred.

    Education :

    • Technical Diploma in mechanical, electrical, or related disciplines.
