Position Overview
The job holder has the responsibility to operate the equipment and all of its affiliated processes (preparing raw materials & packaging, unloading, packing & labeling), in compliance with legal and company rules.

Primary Duties
Generally performs, with supervision, entry level production tasks which include:

1. Preparation of raw materials and packaging: Review labels on raw material to ensure correct weight, type, and lot/batch no. before starting in charging raw materials in the mixers/reactors and carry out operation process following up all the production parameters.
2. Operating of the equipment: verify and load raw materials in line with process instructions and procedures, take samples, unload and pack. Document process figures and results (traceability and legal requirement).
3. Performing quality control of products, from reactors and mixers, performing necessary adjustments according to existing procedures and reporting them to the Production Manager/Supervisor.
4. Ensure production is against work instructions issued for the produced item to guarantee proper operating conditions.
5. Ensure that all tools and machines are in good condition according to work instructions and check lists.
6. Carry out all operations with compliance with the Quality and Operating procedures of H.B. Fuller and reinforce those rules with peers.
7. Ensure initial testing and release of products is completed and that there are no deviations to specifications.
8. Ensure the perfect visual appearance of the finished products to be of the level of standard.
9. Packaging the final product according to the instructions and ensure that the final product is of standard quality level of HBF.
10. Zero mistakes in the finished product and inform Production Manager/Supervisor with any mistakes in labels and take the proper action to correct labels.
11. Maintains high quality expectations regarding all operations and packaging of the final product and encourages peers to do likewise.
12. Maintain machinery and work areas in a clean and proper condition.
13. Actively contribute to safety programs, and promotes safe activities among peers.
14. Responsible for their own training documentation.
15. Implementation & Compliance with all legal and company EHS policy and procedures, reporting any deviation from safety instructions to ensure a secure working environment.
16. Carry out any other duties requested from the Production Manager/Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

1. Basic educational degree or High school diploma or general education diploma.
2. 5 + years’ experience as Production Operator III or 7 + years’ experience in an industrial environment.
3. Knowledge of common software programs (MS Office).
4. Ability to read and understand work orders, production process, safety regulations and quality procedures and instructions.
5. Availability to work in shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Knowledge of chemical mixing and packaging processes.
2. Understanding of basic English.

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT

1. Required to stand for long periods of time.
2. Walk and climb stairs.
3. Use hands to remove or lift boxes.
4. Stretch and reach with arms extended.
5. Stoop and bend.
6. Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
7. Temperature, dust, smell and noise are under normal chemical environment conditions.
